  • cris z

How about Lauryn Hill's most famous songs, they are covers of Frank Sinatra. I really like both versions

  • Fuster Cluck

That's why despite people's opinions on Kanye, I love that he still uses samples in his beats like og hip hop used to do all the time. Using samples is almost like a lost art at times. Which is why I will always appreciate an artist especially a hip hop artist that isn't afraid to go back to the roots where modern music came from and put their own spin on it.

  • Lila Durán

What this got to was literally the premise of my theory of knowledge presentation I did my senior year of high school. Hearing Hank think the same way is like. Woah, dude.

0:15: I respectfully disagree Sir. A number of species such as penguins, wolves, certain birds etc have been observed to do group quasi-synchronized movements and making rhyming sounds at the same time, not extremely different from the clip. The fact you don't understand these animals' or birds' group sounds or movements doesn't mean it cannot have a ritualistic undertone or cultural relevance in their preserved memories as there is no scientific evidence negating form or function.

  • LNxTCB

This was pretty fucking dope, hahaha.

  • Scott Davidson

https://www.whosampled.com/ an encyclopedia of sampled music... it may surprise you. just put in your favourite hip hop song from the 80s, 90s and some early 2000s and it will give you the original song the sample was from

Awolnation’s Sail was immediately popular but something always bothered me about the song. After listening to it a couple of times I realized that it was identical to the Last of the Mohicans theme song.

You know what's really wild? I recognized the "wikka wikka slim shady" bit, not from Eminem, but from a remix of Meghan Trainor's "No" and 90s hits done by Kina Grannis and Nataly Dawn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blo8QYbsZ_4

  • alejandra bravo
